Course	As in Preliminary Umpires Manual.
Duration	Approx 3 hours.
Numbers on course	Maximum 30.
Practical work	Participation in 1 hour field experience.
Theory test	Multi choice written - 15 mins.
Pass mark	15/20

Notification	Tutor to send marked paper and fees to National Office.
Successful Candidates	Receive a certificate, and are registered by the NRA

   The Preliminary Award is valid for 1 year. After expiry the National Office will write to holders reminding them of the expiry date, and encouraging progression
