We have information aimed at Teachers and Young Players, you can download a copy here.

Rounders Basic Skills Award

Players of all ages will enjoy a challenge in completing the Skills Award which leads to bronze, silver and gold awards, and teachers will find helpful resources which are consistent with the requirements of the National Curriculum. The Awards are adaptable for disabled players. There is also a pair of colour posters to brighten up your gym or changing room!

National Junior Championships

This mixed competition is open to member school teams at Y6 and under. You need to compete in a regional event first to qualify, ask your teacher to enter your team!

National Youth Championships

These competitions are held at Y9 and under mixed, Y11 and under mixed, and Y11 and under girls. Entry is through regional events - ask your teacher to enter your team!

Regional Events

The NRA is working hard to set up a system of regional events to build up to the National Championships. If your school plays in a regional rounders event it could be a qualifying round for the national finals. Contact Alan Fergus to find out if this is possible. nra.office@btopenworld.com

International Matches

If your school is a member of the NRA then you could come to the National Trials to try out for the England Teams, which compete from Y8 upwards.
See the website for a list of dates and venues.

Help with your coursework

Look on the web for lots more information on rounders. We also have publications on basic rounders skills, coaching, rules and a video which you can order from the publications page.

Get Qualified!

Preliminary Level 1 Umpiring and Coaching courses are available for ages 14 and above. The courses will help you with GCSE PE and are a good link if you are doing the Sports Leaders Awards. See the Coaching and Umpiring pages of the website for more details, or ask your teacher if you can go on a course.
