Rounders Safety It is very important that Coaches are aware of Safety and Child protection issues. Please read the extract below. The NRA has a safety policy regarding equipment which is clearly stated in the rules. In addition, coaches must be aware of the following extracts from the Code of Conduct: - Have a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of the participants/candidates with whom they are working with as far as possible within the limits of their control.
- Should take all reasonable steps to establish a safe working environment and put safety above any other consideration, including the development. The work and the manner in which it is done should be in keeping with regular and approved practice within rounders.
- Should use activities suitable for the participants/candidates and their needs.
- Should systematically prepare the participants/candidates for the activities being undertaken and make them aware of their personal responsibilities in terms of safety.
