C4T Preliminary Course
The Preliminary Teachers course is designed to introduce teachers and leaders to the basic principles of the striking and fielding activities of rounders and is particularly aimed at Key Stages 1 and 2.
The course, which lasts 3 hours will have the following elements:
- The introduction of small sided striking and fielding game
- Skills activities related to rounders.
- The rules of rounders.
- The organisation of a rounders lesson.
- Participants will be expected to take part in the activities.
- Attendance Certificates and a resource pack are provided
C4T Preliminary Umpires course
The Preliminary Umpires Course which last 3 hours is designed to introduce teachers and leaders to the basic elements of umpiring rounders matches. It is aimed at those who have little experience of applying the NRA rules.
Following successful completion of a basic written test, candidates will be awarded the Preliminary Umpires Award. Attendance Certificates and a resource pack are provided
C4T Intermediate Course
The Intermediate Teachers Course is designed to help teachers and leaders develop the tactics involved in rounders and is particularly aimed at Key Stage 3 and 4
The course which lasts 6 hours will have the following elements:
- The rules of rounders.
- Skills activities related to rounders.
- The playing and officiating of games.
- Tactical development.
- Participants will be expected to take part in the activities.
- Attendance Certificates and a resource pack are provided
C4T Intermediate Umpires course
The Intermediate Umpires Course which lasts 6 hours is designed to enable teachers to develop their umpiring skills in a match situation. It is aimed at those who have a working knowledge of the rules of rounders, but wish to enhance their skills while gaining the NRA qualification.
A written test will be completed on the day and a practical test at a later date will be necessary to complete the award. Attendance Certificates and a resource pack are provided

Become a C4T tutor!
If you possess the Level 2 Intermediate Coaching Award and the Intermediate Umpires Award and have some experience of delivering courses, you have the prerequisites to become a Rounders Tutor for the Coaching for Teachers courses. You will receive a fee and an allowance for expenses when you deliver a course.
